Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What if I’m injured, sick or on vacation for one of the sessions?
- Tennis coaching sessions are non-refundable–pre-paid in 4-week blocks
- It is the responsibility of the participant to make arrangements for a sub at the appropriate level, including the coverage of the cost for that lesson
- If there is a waiting list, the participant should make a reasonable attempt to contact this list first. Organizers may provide an additional list of spares who may be available to substitute in for a specific lesson.
2. What if the weather or other unforeseen event cancels a lesson for the whole group?
Cancelled lessons may be rescheduled. Participants will be reimbursed if no replacement date can be found.
3. Do all participants have to be a member of STC?
No, but STC members will receive priority. If you are not a member and are interested, please contact activities-director@saanichtennisclub.org to be placed on a waiting list. Interested non-members will be contacted if a spot is available 1 week prior to the session start.
4. How can I become a spare for people who cannot make it to all of their sessions?
If you are interested in all of the lesson dates for a given session and there are spots on the waitlist, please add your name to it. If there are no more waitlist spots or you are only available for specific dates, please email activities-director@saanichtennisclub.org with your name and your availability to participate as a spare.
5. Do you offer beginner lessons?
Not at the moment. Due to our club’s membership demographics, we have not historically had enough interest to run an adult beginner group lesson. If you are a beginner who is interested in lessons, please contact activities-director@saanichtennisclub.org to indicate your interest so that we can better serve our membership!
